- Log in to SMARTlearn by entering your username and password. UN: email address PW: Birthdate
- Change your password to one which is unique and familar to you.
- (Please note that you cannot access SMARTlearn unless you have been financially cleared).
SMARTLearn is a dynamic Virtual Learning Environment, VLE that will allow you to bring your academic experience literally to your fingertips. Once logged into SMARTLearn you will be able to create your own timetable, attend your online classes, access and submit assignments, access your quizzes, join virtual chatrooms & discussion forums and most importantly access your TURNITIN platform.
TURNITIN PLATFORM – All assignments, reports, and written classroom must be submitted through the plagerism and AI generated material platform TURNITIN, no exceptions.
ZOOM CLASSROOM LINK – All online classes are done through the scheduling and posting of class login credentials on SMARTLearn.
ATTENDANCE – SMARTLearn records and keeps student attendance records and is integrated with STUDENT Sphere to accumulate overall attendance records.
QUIZ and ONLINE TESTS – SMARTLearn allows for tutors to do online testing and in many instances be the preferred mode of testing.
TIMETABLES – SMARTLearn allows for students to create their own timetables, inputting dates, times and courses into one spot.
CLASS NOTICE BOARD – This will be the preferred mode of communication between tutors and their class. This will be important in keeping updated on class work etc.
RECORDED CLASSES – There are many instances where classes and other activities will be recorded and posted for student access to the content. In all of these instances the material will be posted on SMARTLearn.
